- Have seen/heard about the Rock Paper Scissors Tournaments that are going on the month of September? Some lovely people are organizing them as a fundraiser for Yopp! and the Rosa B Williams Recreation Centerthat’s just re-opened downtown.There are 3 tournaments in total; the first already happened at The Laboratory. There were 12 competitors, and they were able to raise $60 and the group gave away almost $200 in prizes from local companies.
Their goal is to—at least!—match the amount of prizes donated to the amount of funds raised with the next tournament.
The next tournament will be at the Bull, Wednesday, September 19th starting at 7:30. See you there? - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Gainesville Compost! Check ‘em out if you haven’t already!
