Our hearts are incredibly heavy today.
Tom Hart, a good-hearted and loyal friend of indiegainesville and mastermind behind the Sequential Artists Workshop, suffered an unimaginable tragedy this past week.

I am so sad to report that Rosalie Lightning, daughter of Tom Hart and Leela Corman, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep November 17th, 2011. There’s been such an outpouring of love and support for their family. We’ve started a paypal account in honor of her. This fund is to help with everything Tom and Leela are facing in this terrible situation. Just to be clear, this is not an ongoing charitable foundation; it is a bunch of Tom and Leela’s friends passing the cup around to help them surmount the short-term challenges arising from this tragedy.
Rosalie was a wonderful girl. She loved lizards, Miyazaki movies and duck ponds.
If you want any more information about where to send your condolences please email rosalielightningmemorial@gmail.com.
We last saw Rosalie and Tom at the Publix on Main Street just a week or so ago. She was a beautiful, intelligent child and it was obvious how much she was cherished.
Our thoughts are with you, Tom and Leela, in this horrible time. We’re making a donation now, and wishing we could do more for you . . . like erase this pain and heartache.
We hope you will join us. You may not know Tom or Leela, you may never have seen the amazing Rosalie, but we know you appreciate what it is to be part of a close-knit community.
Tom has worked tirelessly to help others in need–now it’s our turn to do a little something for him.
Thanks, indiegainesville.
