Celebrating Independent Gainesville

The Semi-Annual Bug

You know what we’re talking about . . .

As we were driving to Paynes Prairie for our fun excursion, we encountered just one more phenomenon that is “just part of life” here in Gainesville and most of Florida.

We present you photographic evidence of this twice-a-year phenomenon so many of us take in stride:

Lovebugs go splat on our car window

A true sign of fall in Florida: the second lovebug season of the year commences.
Look’s like it’s time to wash the car a lot more often, and try not to breathe one in while riding a bike. (This was a traumatic childhood event for one of us, don’t laugh.)
